FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC...CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE GULF OF MEXICO...
1. THE REMNANT CIRCULATION OF FORMER TROPICAL STORM TOMAS IS LOCATED ABOUT 485 MILES SOUTH-SOUTHWEST OF BERMUDA. ALTHOUGH ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED TO REMAIN UNFAVORABLE FOR REGENERATION INTO A TROPICAL CYCLONE...THIS SYSTEM SHOULD CONTINUE TO PRODUCE A LARGE AREA OF GALE-FORCE WINDS FOR THE NEXT DAY OR TWO. THERE IS A LOW CHANCE...NEAR 0 PERCENT...OF THIS SYSTEM BECOMING A TROPICAL CYCLONE DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS AS IT MOVES EASTWARD AT ABOUT 10 MPH. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THE REMNANTS OF TOMAS CAN BE FOUND IN HIGH SEAS FORECASTS ISSUED BY THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE...
